Coupons
Make discount codes with their own rules and take them at the till.
- Go to Point of Sale → Coupons and press New coupon.
- Give it a code, such as
SUMMER10, and choose a percent or an amount. An amount comes off what the customer pays, VAT included. - Add the rules you need: Only on a sale of at least, the dates it runs From and Until, how many times it can be used (0 for no limit), and Once per customer.
- Save.
At the till
Press Coupon and type or scan the code. The discount shows on the sale with the coupon's code, and the till says plainly why a code does not apply, for example that it has ended or the sale is too small. Take the coupon off removes it again.
A coupon that is once per customer needs a named customer on the sale, not the walk-in customer.
The coupons list shows how often each one was used and how much it has given away. A coupon that has been used is switched off instead of deleted, so old sales keep their record.
